I've gone through the hoops of the military (didn't get in because of my record :/) But out of all the branches, the Airforce is the best choice. As for the piercings, that's only in boot camp you have to deal with that stringent of a dress code... and obviously public functions where you're decked in your gear. It's got great options for schooling, and the pay is REALLY good! Not to mention it will give you some valuable skills to get you better paying jobs once you're out of the service. (A lot of places will hire you 'just' because you have a military background... can get you out of a couple tickets to :P)
