Just found an old VHS tape in my stuff with about two hours worth of Power Ranger episodes from the first season. It was probably my 'favorite show ever' when we lived in Gitmo. *watches* So awesome. I still don't understand why the people of the city didn't kick the Power Rangers out with how often things got destroyed. I mean Rita only sent her monsters there because of them. Speaking of which, much love for Rita. Her and the pink ranger were my favorites. In fact I think my liking of the pink ranger might have been why I started gymnastics, lol. Impressionable four/five year old me was very much impressionable.

Awesome. I can across pics of that while googling. Seems like it'd be as great for a rangers fan as Gathering is for a Gargoyles fan. :D

The best part was that I traveled there with two decidedly non-PR fans. By the end of the weekend, Ryan had become completely enthralled with the actors who played Bulk and Skull.

The only downside is that the average hardcore PR fan has...some IQ problems. Or social issues. Or both. It got a little frightening about how some of the con goers could throw a tantrum over the littlest thing.

Aw man, I used to have to sneak over to my neighbor's house to watch Power Rangers. My hatred of pink was legendary as a child, though, so I was a Yellow Ranger fan.

Heh, I only briefly disliked the colour pink during my preteen years though the Yellow Ranger was my little sis's fav... at least until Green Ranger showed up.

Same here. The sucky thing though was that since we lived in Gitmo, which made odd choices over what got imported to the base and what didn't, when it came out we had a hell of a time finding any of the toys and such. I think in the end we only managed to get three of the ones that flipped their heads with the mask and maybe two of the bigger ones from a guy who bought and sold them separate of stores.

That was my childhood as well. I remember it fondly, even though it's probably dated as hell now.

I recently re-watched the movie and man was it fun. In a 90s sorta way.

Also Green Ranger was always my favourite.

Heh, it's been ages since I've seen it so it's weird how much I remember and how much I forgot. While she started as a Yellow Ranger fan, the Green Ranger was my sister's favorite once he showed up. XP

Mine has a few commericials, oddly this copy held up better than my 'offical' VHS, though they're mostly for Muzzy and this tape of kid's songs.
