Justice League: New Frontier
While I missed out on buying it yesterday due to class, project work, ect, today I went out and bought it the moment the store was open. ZOMG, it frickin' rocks. It sucks that I wasn't able to see it earlier but who cares, I've seen it now and it rules. ^.^
Just my inital thoughts for the moment as I'm on my way out...
Favorite moments:
*THE ART!!! I just love the style so damn much, sure the male faces took a moment to get used to before I could tell who was who but it was still gorgeous.
*Wondy partying with the freed women, the party that Supes(who's shorter than Wondy as he should be by the New Frontier manner) attempts to break up
*While some people have complained about Lucy Lawless's voice acting being too Xena, and I admit by the second time we see Wondy there are some Xena inflictions in her voice, I like it. It was like a Xena/Wondy hybrid, who can complain about that?
*J'onn learning about people by watching TV and changing into the characters on the TV, aka drinking while being Bugs Bunny. Hilarious.
*Robin going all fanboy over Supes then Bats getting rid of him by asking if he finished his homework, twas cute. Also like Robin's exit in that scene, vaulting over the Batmobile.
*The end. I completely fangirled out over Aquaman returning Supes, the 'final word' with the images of future adventures/people(goddess that art was so... very pretty)
*The music
*Hal's transformation into GL
*Wonder Woman picking up the Flash and carrying him at the end, twas adorable!
EVERYTHING!!! I loved it. 10/10
Minor Issues:
*Not so sure I was a fan of Jeremy Sisto playing Batman's voice. Maybe it's because I've been rewatching my B:TAS DVDs but it just didn't feel right.
*As I mentioned the male's faces where often too similar that in the beginning it took some getting used to.
*J'onn's anime/bishie(?) face
I'll post some screenshots later though now I'm off to the comic book store to pick up my titles. ;p
