Ugh. Definately sick. So much so that I'm considering driving to my first class, handing in my piece due today, explaining I'm sick, and going home to e-mail the remaining teachers for catch up. I know in Art History it'll be nothing but review, I think. Gods I hope the test isn't actually today. I have no clue what will be in Foundations and Design though if I'm still feeling like this I know that working on the computer will be painful and pointless. Guess I'll wait and see how I'm feeling then...

In other news, my mother is nuts. She keeps telling me to spend my money on something for myself. Example, I mentioned how I'd love to go to this: http://www.92y.org/shop/event_detail.asp?productid=T%2DLC5AE04 though because it's in NY, aka expensive, I'm not. Her response? Go. Right... Because it's that easy. Because I totally have the money to spend. She keeps asking my why I'm saving up. 'Your rent is only... Your insurance/bills/ect is only... Your school is no problem, why not spend it?' I don't know... maybe because I'll need that money at some point and would perfer to have it as opposed to being in debt or something? It's not like the economy is thriving and how can I forget those hellish three months not too long back I went without a job.  *facepalm* To think this is the same woman who two years ago would watch my every purchase like a hawk constantly ready to scold.

That all aside, lulz= http://community.livejournal.com/scans_daily/6203253.html#cutid1

Get well soon. *hugs*

You stick to your guns and save your money. Only you can decide how much you can spend on yourself. It all really depends on how much you've got and how much the trip is going to be.

I can agree with the sentiment of "spending a little on you" but not if that means spending all, or nearly all, the money you have to fall back on.

Thanks. *puts on facemask to avoid contamination and hugs back* ;p

And yeah, I currently consider the 'spending money on me' to be my weekly comics anyway so it's not like I'm completely 100% saving but I do admit to avoiding eating out and stuff like that when I can to save.
