I tried to tell my mother abut this movie and she made me stop after 'and the other dog has a fear of water due to being apart of some endurance testing in which they dropped him in a tank of water and, essentially, let him drown, fished him out, revived him, and did it over again.' (actually she wanted me to stop after I talked about Snitter's head being cut open but still...)

It's a rather sad movie based on the book by the same name in which two dogs from a research facility try to escape to freedom. Turns out whether it's in a lab or in the wilderness their lives are never going to be easy. Makes me think of WE3 without the cybertronics.

Wow, just...wow.
I watched the entire thing in one sitting. I was nibbling my fingernails when they killed their first sheep, speechless over what Todd did for those two. I totally love animated features in this vein of particular genre ever since the Rats of Nimh. what a powerful film.
