Someone on /pco/ figured out, a few days ago, it was me who drew these for the Marvel Kink Meme(suppose I have a 'style') so I'm posting them, mostly because I haven't posted much lately.

There's been this kid running around my house the past few days, whom I suspect may be related to me in some way, so yesterday M and I took her to the park. It was okay at first but by the end of things I was reminded of why, if I wasn't gay, I'd be getting my tubes tied. Not saying all kids are horrible or anything but they're just honestly not for me. Anywho, at one point M and her agreed I wasn't strong(lies and slander) so M carried her around on her back a bit. Somehow this lead to the kid asking questions.
Kid-thing: And how old are you?
M: She's 21.
Kid-thing: What?! Nuh uh!
Me: Yep.
Kid-thing: *says something I can't hear, M bursts out laughing*
Me: *stops and turns around* What'd she say?
Kid-thing: You're too small to be 21.
Me: I am not.
Kid-thing: Uh huh. You're really short.
And so, for the rest of the day, I was dubbed 'short 21 year old'. She also concluded at some point, having met my siblings, I was lying about being the oldest kid in my family since I'm 'the littlest sister'. :\

First the Marvel Kink Meme and now a DC one? Can one OD on porn? Honestly though, I'm loving this. Not just because I'm a (mostly) shameless pervert mind you, because I am, but I've been needing to work my writing muscles a bit and what better way than filling requests? Rhetorical question, please don't answer.

On an unrelated note, I watched Ponyo(Miyazaki's latest) and Cat Returns the other night. Ponyo, imo, didn't quite live up to the normal quality of his films though it's soooooo incredibly cute. It's the story of this little goldfish girl who wants to become human. Her father doesn't want her to, though her mother is pretty awesome, and it becomes up to Sosuke to help her out. It should be out in English in August, though I can't imagine the Disney brand voices beating the original. As for Cat Returns? It's just pure win, unless you're a cat-hater, i.e. have no soul.

For some reason, on a thread that had nothing to do with him or the animals of Avatar, there was a derailment leading to the conclusion that Bosco(the Earth King's pet bear) isn't just a normal bear but just one specially bred to have mostly bear traits. At that point someone offered up the theory that he has itty bitty wings.
So... )

New thread on /ic/ taking our normal 'roll the dice to figure out what you draw' game with an anatomical twist. First roll got me necks and second lead to arms.

More parts under cut )

ETA: Oh and if you like documentaries check out this site: http://www.onlinedocumentaries4u.com/
Apparently some people on /ic/ like to draw while listening to them, I did these during one about Jonestown.

I've been incredibly on edge since getting home. Shouted at everyone at least once within the first few hours of being home. Hung out with Ena & co. yesterday since John leaves for Denmark tomorrow, fair amount of drinking and pie occurred. Spent half of today just out and about since being in the house was driving me mad. Can't seem to get myself to settle down, need to grocery shop but being around people right now seems incredibly unsavory. :|

Pointless post is pointless so have a shoe I started on for an /ic/ meme...

Still in PA, leaving for home tommorrow. A bit excited because in August my cousin will be moving from Thailand to China. Once she's settled in, or after the new year(we're trying to figure what's best), I'll be moving in with/visting her for an unknown period of time. Never much thought about going to China but I figured I might as well take the chance.

ETA: Lol, after lunch ma mere watched Taken with the boys and is now informing me I'm not allowed to leave the country. Alas I had to remind her that someone with her level of paranoia shouldn't be watching such things and that I'm apparently old enough that she can do nothing more than state her opinion on the matter. Or at least the majority of my family. Heading up to PA tonight for a few days, not sure I'll have internet access(or at least much). Have a lot of stuff to get done today before I leave. It's not costing me anything, cat care aside, but that doesn't make it any less a hassle at the moment. XP

According to [livejournal.com profile] karine this will be the last year for Gathering of the Gargoyles. If it wasn't all the way on the other side of the US I'd definitely put in the last minute effort to go... alas, no. *ponders* Maybe if I manage the job I've been trying for by the end of the month(despite going to PA this weekend), especially since the voice actress for Demona will be there... Gah. *checks room rates and begins penny pinching further*

Sleep frustrates me. I mean, I honestly get a little annoyed that I need it in order for my body to function properly. The average amount of sleep someone needs is 6-8 hours. For the sake of things let's say 7. 7 hours every 24 hours. 49 every week. 2555 a year. 53655 by the time you're 21. That's 2235.6 days or 6 out of 21 years of your life(not counting leap years here) that you're asleep and that's not even including the excess slumber of your baby years. Think of all you can do in 6 years and you spent it asleep.

Don't get me wrong, I love dreaming. I love that comforting stillness of the mind. I love the restoration. Yet, I hate that I struggle to wake once I've drifted off. I hate when I have a list of things to do and all my eyelids can do is droop. I hate the things I miss out on when asleep that I have to catch up on later. I hate that after a certain amount of time awake I become a danger to myself, and sometimes those around me, in loosing the ability to make proper choices(can't stay awake? don't drive. that railing you normally jump over instead of walking the rest of the way down the steps? no longer a good idea. that x-acto knife? sharp.).

I once stayed awake for 5 days straight. I got a lot done but I also saw a fair amount of things that weren't really there. I have a tricky relationship with sleep.

Slowpoking here but I'd occasionally wondered before if there was an Oracle figure yet never really checked. Well, sometime last night, I stumbled on my answer.

It's the Birds of Prey Deluxe Set from DC Direct via 2003. Found a pretty good rundown on them. I'd love to see(yet possibly be wary of) a newer version but with the series canceled and DC being screwy with the characters involved, I doubt it would happen.

Introduced Ena to Wonder Woman. It didn't even occur to me before that I'd never talked much about comics with her so when she told me she didn't even know Wonder Woman's basic origin stuff I overloaded her with info and then showed her the animated movie(not the best thing but I hadn't watched it in a bit and she's been watching movies like crazy lately). The opening sequence was hilarious...
"Omg! They're actually fighting and killing and stuff!"
"Yep."
"Did they just talk about sex?! They were talking about sex!"
"Yeah."
"She just cut off his head! I thought this was going to be a little kid's movie! Whoa!"
This is the commentary given by a girl who graduated top of her class and wants to make documentaries for the BBC. Lulz.

Any who she loved it, though now wants to dress me up as Wondy for Halloween. XP

I guess I like how this one came out, still unsure of how I want to do the colors(flats-Monday's, light/whispy, or light/whispy + shading-this) and I need to plump up the faces a little. Any other thoughts?

On a non-drawing note, parkour is fucking kicking my arse. Can't wait until my muscles stop the aching from the added work. Even then I still need to find a really good place to practice(I have some areas around here that I can work on individual moves though I'd love more). If it was fall/winter I'd just go to the beachfront but with this being tourist season there's no chance of that. :(

I intend to be busy, both with [livejournal.com profile] artslam(pic related, my concept), life, and training(mixture of taking advantage of nice weather and wanting to give parkour a serious go). Sorry if I comment less because of it. XP

Watch Bob Ross paint.
Srsly, I aspire to be even half as chill and awesome as he is when he paints. It's magical. I mean most of the time he's painting he isn't even using a brush, it's nuts. Blink and suddenly he's add a cluster of trees with a fucking sponge. Maybe part of my hyped up feelings on this are coming from the fact that the chat at the moment is mostly /ic/(and a few others) singing praises of him but the man is seriously fantastic. *watches* Holy shit! He just took a giant brush smothered in dark paint and made a huge tree in the middle of everything. Oh gods, highlights.

I almost regret that I have to stop watching at some point.

ETA: Nooooooo! I close the screen while out to dinner, come back and now the channel is so overloaded I can't watch anymore. *tear* Haha! It's back!
